What Is Bodyweight Training?

 

As the name implies, Bodyweight Training is simply relying on our very own body weight as resistance when performing exercises. Hardly, if any, fitness equipment or tools are needed for the entire process.

Why Do We Need Bodyweight Training?

 

For seniors and older adults, bodyweight training is ideal for building real-world fitness, functional strength and muscular endurance. It is also great for improving one's all-round mobility, flexibility and balance.

 

Also, one of the greatest benefits of learning Bodyweight Training is that once mastered, you can basically workout anywhere, anytime!

 

On top of that, bodyweight training does NOT require any specialized fitness equipment, making it an extremely cost-effective workout method!

For any middle-aged, older adult or senior who wants to learn:

  • how to leverage on his/her own body weight effectively in a workout program,

  • the different types, variations and combinations of body weight movements and drills,

  • how best to integrate body weight training into his/her own fitness program.

My Fitness Approach

 

In all my fitness programs here in Singapore, I sincerely believe in the adage: "Your BODY is your BEST gym"!

 

Nowhere else are bodyweight exercises given that much significance and emphasis than with the gym-free fitness approach that I use will all my clients..

 

And in case you're wondering, the repertoire of bodyweight exercises and movements that I use with my clients go way BEYOND the usual collection of sit-ups, push-ups, planks and squats that most people are familiar with!

 

In fact, there are literally HUNDREDS of unique and varied body weight exercises, drills & variations that can be utilized to add FUN and VARIETY to your workout routine!

 

Let me show you:

  • how to train effectively with just your own body weight as resistance (with and without tools),

  • the different types, variations and combinations of body weight exercises for strength gains, muscular endurance, fat-burning or general fitness conditioning, and

  • how best to integrate and modify these bodyweight-based exercises to suit your fitness needs and goals.

Program Components

 

My bodyweight fitness training program for seniors/older adults can be conducted either as part of a Personal Training Program, a Couple/Partner Program, a Group Fitness Training Program or as a Fitness Workshop for participants.

Training Times

 

I provide bodyweight training/conditioning sessions, as well as related fitness workshops across Singapore at flexible and negotiable days and timings - but all strictly by appointment ONLY .

 

Fitness sessions may be scheduled between 9am to 9pm, on weekdays only.

 

All bookings are also strictly on a First-Come-First-Serve basis and are subject to availability.
